Yes I have neglected my blogging duties. Pregnancy has knocked me down for the count. I do want to update how the training team is doing so far.
We started a few weeks ago doing choreography and shines. The team is doing so great! We were off to a slow start with technique and drills but since then, we have gotten into the choreography part of the season. As of last week, we got into doing tricks. This has been a challenging few weeks for the team. We've had bruises, skin burns, ice packs you name it! The team is so fearless. I love it. Anything we throw at them, they just go for it without hesitation. Everyone is just going for it. Its so awesome to see the team doing all the tricks with the music and then going into shines. Next week they will be knee deep in turn patterns and spins. Then from there on out its just practice, practice, practice.
I love it! We've cut the music, ordered T-shirts and soon will be scheduling events. The team is bonding more and we have such a great time at practice. Even when they come in tired from long days at work or school....by the end of practice they are smiling and saying "can we run through it one more time". That's a great feeling to know they are excited about the routine.
